understanding and budgeting for contingencies on your project

Contingencies are budgeted for to help cover unexpected costs during your design project.

We hope not to utilize all of your contingency that is budgeted for, but it is important to plan for in order to help cover those unexpected costs that come up during your project.

Unforeseen things do come up. For example, your contractor may begin demoing your bathroom to find that there is mold that needs to be remediated. Or they might uncover an unexpected pipe during demo that we have to rework your design around.

Having contingencies built into your budget will ensure you’ve budgeted to cover those unexpected costs.

Check out this quick video by AGD during demo of one of our design projects, and the photos below are how the design looked by completion.
